Thermodynamic Measurement

A2LA Accredited Test Humidity # 1

The Humidity # 1 test is intended to validate the calibration laboratory’s ability to calibrate humidity indicating devices. The artifact is a Veriteq Spectrum Model 2000 Temperature and Humidity Logger.

A2LA Accredited Test Temperature # 1

This program is intended to validate the calibration laboratory’s ability to measure temperature quantities from –20 to 200 degrees Celsius. The artifact is a Hart Scientific 5614 Secondary PRT thermometer.

A2LA Accredited Test Temperature # 3

The Temperature # 3 test is intended to validate the calibration laboratory’s ability to calibrate temperature indicating devices with a non-accessible temperature probe from –20 to 70 degrees Celsius. The artifact is a Veriteq Spectrum Model 2000 Temperature and Humidity Logger. The participating laboratory will require a chamber of at least 27 cubic inch capacity in order to participate in the proficiency test.

Temperature # 5

The Temperature # 5 test is intended to validate the calibration laboratory’s ability to calibrate infrared thermometers. The artifact is a Fluke 68 IR Thermometer. The artifact has had the reference value established by Fluke Corporation, Everett Washington facility1. The artifacts are measured with a precision IR Blackbody source before and after each customer measurement to verify artifact stability.

Temperature # 6

Validates the calibration laboratory’s ability to calibrate mercury-filled total immersion liquid-in-glass thermometers from -20°C to 130°C. The artifacts are three ASTM mercury thermometers. One thermometer has a range of -20°C to 102°C with a resolution of 0.2°C, one thermometer has a range of -38°C to 2°C with a resolution of 0.1°C, and one thermometer has a range of 95°C to 155°C with a resolution of 0.2°C.

Temperature # 7

The Temperature 7 test has been developed to verify the best measurement capability of the participating laboratory for the parameter of thermocouple calibration. The artifact is a commercially available Type J Thermocouple Probe.
